Prom night is considered as one of the most memorable moments for high school or college students, and is an event that no one would dare miss out on. Most would prefer going to the prom in a stylish and affordable manner as possible.

What would a prom night be without a ride in a limousine? There are upmarket saloon cars, that seat about 6 people, stretch limousines that seat about 8 to 10 people, and super-super stretch limos that seat more than ten people. The bigger they get, the more costly they are going to be. However, the bigger they are, then the more people that they will hold. So if splitting the bill with others is a good idea, then the cost per person might well be within your price range.

More Young People Are Renting Limousines For Prom Night

More and more young people are renting limousines for prom night transportation than in previous years, according to an industry insider.

Traveling by limousine on prom night is now considered a very safe way to travel,as parents need not have to worry about their child driving later at night and worrying if there would be a chance of having the teenagers figure in an accident from drunk driving or overspeeding. Renting a limousine for the prom also proves to be an economically sound choice. When several couples share and combine resources, they could make a full night out of their limousine rental and even go to dinner before the prom or dancing at the club when the prom is over.

Top 5 Prom-Night Limousine Models

As the market for limousine rentals shifts to cater to the lifestyles of young adults, newer and sleeker limousine designs have now been manufactured, to cater to young folks who want to go partying in style riding the newest limo versions. Currently the top limousine model for prom-night party goers would be the Hummer H2 Customized Series, which could come in an assortment of colors, from black to pink.

The Hummer Limo series also comes in the standard 6-seater version, and also offers the superstretched Hummer series, which could accommodate up from 18 to 20 persons.

Other famous limousine models for prom nights are the Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, the Jaguar S-Series, and the Limousine Bus,which seats up to 22 persons and is equipped with a 42″ big screen TV with VCR & DVD, black leather seats, crystal bars, champagne and crystal rock glasses, AM/FM stereo with CD, fiber optic lighting, and overhead mood lights.

Tips To Remember Before Getting One

There are many aspects to consider regarding prom limousine rentals. To minimize costs and maximize your fun, here are a few prom limousine rental tips. Since prices vary with each limousine rental firm, you should shop and compare rates at a few local companies before committing yourself to one limousine service. While some companies increase their rates per hour, others keep a stable rate and require a minimum service, usually at least six hours.

Prices also fluctuate with the passenger size of limousine you rent, so luxury limousines that carry 15 passengers are most costly than 6 or 8-seaters. The more passengers, however, the more the cost is spread out. To avoid getting stuck with excessive charges, think of cost per person. You may also want to drop by the limousine company ahead of time to check if the limousine you’re renting is appropriate–a prom night limousine should not be too extravagant, but the service should at least offer clean and safe vehicles.

Ideal for repairing or covering minor chipping, blemishes, and scratches in car paints, auto touch up paints should match your car’s original color of paint in order to achieve a seamless finish. Generally available in small quantities in the form of sprays or pen applicators for home use, touch up paints are only applied on the chip or scratch itself. Good auto touch up paints should be able to provide you a “quick fix” although still not able to substitute a factory-applied product in terms of quality. They do not have the same adhesion, durability, chalking, and fading characteristics. Kinds Blob eliminator touch up paint: Blobs can appear on dried up surfaces so a “blob eliminator” is used to remove them. A “blob eliminator” is used with the help of an applicator brush, pen, or spray that comes with a kit. Blobs are gone in as fast as 15 to 30 seconds but are allowed to dry for about two to 24 hours. Air-dry touch up paint: Covering scratches and chips with an air-dry touch up paint kit works in two steps. First, you have to apply the actual touch up paints unto the scratch, chip, or any other damaged surface. And second, after applying the touch up paint, you have to put on a coat of an air-drying additive that prevents future “blobbing” of the paint. Buying tip When looking for auto touch up paints, check for touch up paints used by the exact model and color of your car. Aftermarket vendors have a wide variety of brands and paints that can be mixed together to match the color detail of your original paint job. If you’re looking for DIY products, most come in colors that match the general shade group of your car’s paint. Complete information A complete Guide to AUTO TOUCH UP PAINTS is available in Picky Guide, one of the fastest growing online magazines giving free consumer advice and product information.

Calling all detailers…if you’ve ever stepped into a customers vehicle and smelled cigarettes, you just smelled money (although it may have stunk a bit)! A smoker’s car is easily identified the moment you open the door, and it is gross. Unfortunately, most smokers become accustomed to the stink in their car. You will be doing them a favor by cleaning their car out!

Making money in detailing ISN’T easy..so take notice.

You need to upsell (see our other articles on nodents.com for more details on this!) to make good money in detailing, and ANY reasonable opportunity for you to pitch your client SHOULD be done!

So, ciggies. What do you do about it?

1) If your client is a heavy smoker,

A) you better charge at LEAST $50-75 the first time you do this)
B) You better: 1) shampoo/clean ALL fabrics in the vehicle (that means headliner too)

2) Clean the fresh air ducts using a mild bleach solution or anti fungal spray.

3) Recirculate the air system for one hour with the solution to kill and permeate the fresh air system ENTIRELY.

4) If you have any ozone machine- use it! But then add a subtle air freshener like Febreeze, because ozone isn’t too nice of a smelling product either..

2) If your’e client is NOT a heavy smoker, but somehow some smoke smell got in there, A) Try as above with ONLY the fresh air duct cleaning. If the smell still is there, then continue as above until the culprit leaves nicely.

Ok- so did I help you just make $50-$75 or what!? Now go upsell MORE!

Sport Utility Vehicles

It is no surprise that SUVs are among the most popular cars in the United States. SUVs provide amble room, and can handle adverse driving conditions and surfaces. They are the perfect vehicle for the busy family on the go. There are a number of problems with SUVs, however, that need to be kept in mind while purchasing any new vehicle in order to ensure that you can purchase the very best SUV for you and your family.

Potential problems with SUVs

Fuel economy is always a concern when buying a new SUV. The average SUV is 33 per cent less fuel efficient that the average passenger car; with rising fuel prices, that can translate into an expensive drive. For instance, if you drive 15,000 miles a year with gas prices at $1.15 a gallon, you will end up spending an extra $420 a year on gas.

SUVs also have an unfortunate tendency to roll over during accidents. SUVs are more likely to roll over because they are far heavier than normal care and ride higher – on average, 8 inches higher than passenger cars. This has likely led to higher levels of fatal accidents in SUV crashes than passenger car crashes. A study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that rollovers accounted for 37 per cent of all fatal SUV crashes, as compared to only 15 per cent for passenger cars.

SUVs also usually result in higher insurance bills, thanks to the increased safety risk, higher maintenance costs, and the overall popularity of SUVs. On survey showed that SUV owners would pay between 5 and 19 per cent more for their car insurance because they own a SUV.

Which SUV is best for you and your family?

How do you pick the best SUV from the over 80 different SUV models available for sale in the United States? The first step is to identify whether you want a small or full-sized SUV, and whether you will he content with a basic model, or if you want to go all out for a luxury model. Finding the perfect SUV is as much about finding a vehicle your pocket book is comfortable with as it is finding a vehicle that you are comfortable driving.

As with buying any type of car, the most important step in buying a SUV is research. You need to arrive at the car lot prepared, or the salespersons will be able to sell you something you do not really need or want. When you get your research done before you start looking at cars, you will be able to figure out what extras and options you actually need. So, read consumer magazines, look through message boards by current drivers, ask friends and family. It is only once you have done your research and have a general idea what you are looking for, you can start looking at cars.

You have to be sure you are absolutely comfortable with the SUV – there are a lot of models available for you as a consumer, so you do not have to content yourself car you are not truly excited about owning. Take your time, and ask a lot of questions about its safety features and fuel economy. If the salesperson does not have the answers you like or need, go somewhere else.

Of course, before signing any deal to pay for the SUV, be sure to take it for a spin. If you plan to take the SUV off-road, get the salesperson to take you somewhere where you can test this functionality. If you are buying the SUV to make the bumpy trip down your cottage laneway, you are not going to fully experience what that drive will be like by taking a smooth and straight drive down the freeway.

I don’t think anyone would argue that traditional television has gone down the drain—actually it’s been brutally murdered in its sleep, thrown in the back of a dilapidated van, driven into the depths of the desert and buried under the starry night sky. And reality TV is to blame. The youth of today lacks the heaping spoonfuls of moral fiber that shows like Saved By the Bell and Family Matters used to dish out. And what are today’s audiences watching you might ask? Sugary, unwholesome garbage that’s what. Apparently, anyone who is, has been, or will ever be famous can have their own show. Heck, nowadays you can have your own series simply by associating with someone in the spotlight. Guilty as charged, I watched “I Love New York,” but did I like watching it? Maybe, but that’s not the point. Tiffany Pollard, AKA New York, participated in a trashy dating show with washed up rapper, Flavor Flave. And merely by being a contestant, a psychotic one at that, she spawned her own hit series. Everyone knows that watching these horrendous shows is like catching a glimpse of a train wreck; you don’t want to look, but you can’t stop yourself. Maybe they are more like crack.

I was flipping through my hundreds of channels and stumbled across a hot chick in a bikini. So I did what any other respectable twenty three year old male would do and kept watching. This turned into four hours of The Simple Lift marathon. What can I say? Stupidity amazes me, and Paris Hilton is chock full of it. In one episode, the girls were staying with a mechanic’s family out in the sticks of Nebraska. The girls were given one simple task; change a tire. Before you can say Dolce & Gabbana, the shop and girls are covered in oil, grease, make up, and rags. At this point, Paris felt it necessary to strip out of her grease-covered overalls; disgusting, I know. The mechanic wasn’t too thrilled about the mess, but was quickly distracted by the half-naked model standing in front of him. Since changing a tire was obviously too difficult, he had them install a performance programmer. “Oh boy, this should be good!” I thought to myself. I guess Paris can actually read because she looked at the directions and got the darn thing to work. Granted she only had to plug in a few wires, I was shocked.

So this got me thinking. Could a monkey install one of these programmers? I don’t know too much about them, but from my understanding, these little devices plug in under your dash and reprogram your car’s factory settings so you can get more power and better gas mileage. Sounds complicated, but I’m pretty sure you just plug in a few wires. So if anyone out there has a monkey and is willing to try an experiment let me know. If that gorilla in Congo can learn sign language, surely we can get a chimp to plug in a wire. And imagine if the tabloids heard about it? They would sink their gargantuan fangs into this story and eat it up—ruthless bunch if you ask me. I’ll even split the story rights with you. I can see it now, “Monkey Outsmarts Paris Hilton!”

Changing your air filter should be a familiar and comfortable process; if it’s not, you’ve come to the right place. It’s inexpensive, easy and can play a big role in vehicle performance. You are probably wondering, “But how will I know when to change the filter? I’m no mechanic!” Well bewildered reader, a good rule of thumb is once or twice a year, or roughly every 12,000 miles. But keep in mind that your environment can affect this. Obviously daily dirt road driving will require you to replace your filter more often than Sunday driving in the city.

If nothing else, learn to change your own air filter. It’s so easy and saves you money.

Can you remember your last visit to Jiffy Lube for an oil change? These guys always hit you up with the patented, “You really need a new air filter” line. And you’re left wondering, “Do I really need a new one? What should I do? Can I really trust this guy?” If in your shock, you utter “Ok,” the mechanic then adds another set of fees for labor, parts, and a new air filter, whose brand is usually a mystery.

Now you can stick it to the man and simply say, “No thanks, I will do it myself.” That is if, in fact, it really needs to be done.

It’s time to get down and dirty. Park your car in a shaded area and let it cool for a few minutes—you don’t want to be working with a steaming engine that can potentially burn you; i.e. don’t change your filter after a six hour road trip.

You will need very few tools for this procedure. If possible grab two medium-sized screwdrivers, one Philips and one standard.

The air filter is typically enclosed in a black plastic casing near the top of the engine. In larger vehicles, it may be off to the side. It is usually the largest non-metal assembly you see; approximately the size of a bread box.

Most air boxes are held together by a couple of large metal clips on the side. Either pop off the clips or slide the flat-head screwdriver between the casing and the clip and pry the clip off. Occasionally you will find the top is held down by several long screws, in which case you simply unscrew them to access the filter.

Pop the air box top off and expose the secrets of the all mighty air box. Basically, you will find the air filter—riveting, I know. It’s usually bright yellow or orange or red, to better see collected dirt.

Pull it out. It’s typically one foot by six inches and has rubber edges along the bottom.

To check for cleanliness, hold it up and bend it back, so the paper ridges of the filter flutter like pages in a book. Now look in the crevices and look at all the dirt and grime it stopped from entering your engine. Pretty cool, huh? Hold the filter at arms length and look at it straight on. If the colored paper is mostly dirty in the center than it is time to replace it. Guess how much this will cost you– About $5; a lot less than Jiffy Lube.

You can throw the old filter in a plastic bag and bring it to your local auto part store to make sure you get the right replacement. Or you can save time by ordering a new one online. You can now stand proud and confidently say, “I know how to check and replace my air filter.” And damn it feels good.

If you are looking for a performance pick me up, a new suspension may be just what the doctor ordered. A rugged lift kit can provide clearance and strength for navigating rough and rocky terrain, while a set of lowering springs can enhance cornering and handling on the road. No matter the case, your suspension should be inspected and maintained periodically for optimal safety and performance.

Volkswagen said it right. “On the road of life, there are passengers and there are drivers.” Not every driver wants a sports car. There are plenty of people content with their stock parts and the performance that comes with them. My grandma’s 83’ Corolla for example, is more than enough car to get her to art classes and friends’ houses. But then there are automotive enthusiasts; drivers who are looking for the most from their car. Guys, and occasionally girls, who get behind the wheel and push their machine’s limits until every last drop of performance has been squeezed out, like a person with OCD wringing a toothpaste tube until every last molecule is expelled. Odds are, you are like me, and fall somewhere in between.

Just like everything else, suspension systems are so technologically advanced that they can be adjusted by the turn of a screw. So if you’re about to take on the curves of the Pacific Coast Highway, with the quick adjustment of a knob, you will be able to handle every twist and turn thrown at you. Done with the bends? In a few moments you can loosen up your suspension for a more relaxed ride.

Have you ever grabbed breakfast on your way to work and taken a sharp turn only to find your grande-skinny-mocha-frappachino spilt all over you lap? When you turn, weight is shifted in the opposite direction by gravity trying to compensate for the force. This is known as body roll, and consequently is the coffee-spilling culprit. Lowering springs reduce your car’s center of gravity, and therefore reducing resistance on the chassis through the turns. The result you might ask? Quicker steering response and feeling like your car is glued to the road. It is important to realize your expectations and desires when shopping for new springs though. Higher spring rates will give you a tighter suspension, but will stiffen up your general ride. Basically, you will turn on a dime, but feel every nook and cranny in the road. Softer springs will still increase performance, but won’t nearly affect overall ride quality as much. For the most part, I don’t like extremes. I would advise against installing some really stiff springs unless you have a separate track car or are willing to put up with a bumpy ride.

I would also recommend upgrading your shocks as well. They are another component of you suspension system and crucial for the smoothness of you ride. Shocks serve two purposes. They absorb any larger than average bumps so the shock isn’t transferred directly to the car chassis. Secondly, they keep all of your wheels planted on the road at all times. This means your car would turn into a rolling death trap without them. The shocks dampen vertical motion your car experiences from rough surfaces. Without shocks, your car would wallow all over the road until you got sick or it fell apart…or both.

The road is a dangerous place and even if the authorities are trying to implement ways to make the roads safer to the public, accidents can happen at any time. It is the primary responsibility of road users to practice all the safety measures in order to avoid unwanted accidents.

Every day, there are reports of over one hundred lawsuits on car accidents. So as you can see, the incidents of car accidents are truly large in number. Can you imagine a car accident happening every ten minutes? That only means that more and more drivers are careless and very abrasive when driving they disregard road rules and laws.

There are times when car accidents are caused by people on the road and not the drivers themselves. This is one reason why a lot of unsuspecting drivers are bothered to be involved in any car accident because a car accident lawsuit entails a lot of things to do. By now, lawyers are already accustomed to people filing lawsuits associated with car accidents.

So what if despite precautionary measures on the road you still meet a car accident, you need to prepare yourself for the lawsuit. Consider the following tips so that you will be prepared.

1. When you need to file a car accident lawsuit, you must first find a certified and experienced lawyer. He or she must have an impeccable stature so that you can put your trust in him/her fully.

2. Lawyers will usually give you forms that you need to fill out. Don’t just fill out the forms blindly and if you need to clear out some things contained in the form, don’t hesitate to ask questions. Don’t settle for improper answers because you can demand for detailed answers on your inquiries.

3. Don’t rush yourself when filling out such forms. Take all the time you need and check all the question items carefully. Forms usually have fine prints so don’t forget to read them. The fine prints contain the most important information about the lawsuit.

4. Ask the lawyer about the lawsuit’s entire process. You can ask your lawyer for the duration of the lawsuit and the necessary steps that you have need to undertake. If you still have valid questions, ask them now.

5. You have to know your rights when filing the car accident lawsuit. If you don’t know them yet, you can ask your lawyer. Aside from that, you should tell your lawyer to keep you updated on the developments and processed events of the case.

6. You should have all the important papers photocopied and keep them in a safe place. Do this with all the documents involved in the car accident lawsuit.

Car accident lawsuits usually take several years and it greatly depends on the accident’s severity. Most of those who file car accident lawsuits are first-time victims and so there are times when they are quite naïve about the court systems and laws. This is one reason why you should get only the services of an experienced lawyer.

Your lawyer will help you all throughout the case. This way, you will better understand the entire process of the lawsuit.

So if you’re involved in a car accident and you need to file a lawsuit, find the best lawyer in your area so that you will not find it hard to deal with the case.

It all began with a story about a legend, a legend born out of sheer destiny and the creative ingenuity of a person with a passion for cars. The year 1964 witnessed a historical event, when a steering wheel designed by Gianpiero Moretti inched Ferrari specialist John Surtees towards the F1 World Championship. The mounting of the uniquely smaller and different steering wheel and the consequential bagging of the 1964 F1 World Championship by John Surtees gave birth to the leading name in car accessories that we know today as Momo Corse.

But, the creative edge of Moretti wasn’t a solo affair, as the amateur car racer had got a friend to make a special steering wheel for himself during his racing days. The wheel was smaller than usual with a large handgrip that offered better handling, thus invoking a spark of creativity in him to explore further ground. The later years witnessed the creation of the car accessories company Momo Corse, which started off making steering wheels in large varieties for racing cars.

The maker of steering wheels soon went ahead and delved into the manufacturing of other products, as it also rechristened itself from Momo Corse to simply Momo. It soon began constructing various car accessories like road wheels, gear shift knobs, handbrakes, seats, harnesses, pedals, car mats, racing clothes, helmets and even ear pieces. The Italian giant became a household name by the 90s and had quite a following across the world.

Today, Momo Corse or MOMO Italy, as it is simply known, has its market concentration in over 10 countries worldwide, and a great number of its car accessories users that show a steep rise everyday.

A roof rack has become a necessary car accessory these days. Whether it is going for a vacation with your family or camping with your friends, the roof rack is something that always comes in handy. People are gradually realising its utility in their day to day lives, and it is now considered an important part of any car.

A roof rack bears the burden of your entire luggage and transports it safely from one place to another. Since they are attached externally to your vehicle, the appearance, colour, design and shape of the roof boxes and racks should match with the exteriors of the car. This makes them look as if they are an extension of the car and not a separate attachment.

While buying a roof rack, the buyer should carefully survey the market for different varieties of roof racks and by different manufacturers. Choose the one that fits best on your car and suits your specific needs. There are also particular roof racks that are designed to carry specific things, like wheelchairs, bicycles and kayaks. The inflatable roof rack is the latest type of roof rack. It can be easily attached as well as detached, and when not in use, it can be stored away because it occupies very less space.

It is advisable to discuss the features and other fitting information with the manufacturer. Roof racks are available at almost all shops that deal with car accessories. Consumers can also buy them online. Simply searching the Internet will reveal various dealers that manufacture and sell good quality roof racks.

The capacity of the roof rack should be considered before finally buying it. It is necessary to know the amount of load that it can carry, so that you can avoid overstuffing. Also ensure that the fittings of the roof rack are strong and do not come off easily. The most important thing is that they should be in synchronisation with the colour and design of your car.
