Though Isuzu parts and accessories have more focus on the SUV and truck segment in the industry, Isuzu cars like the Impulse, Stylus, and the i-Mark are commonly seen in the streets today because of the performance it gives just like the way the trucks and SUV’s can do. Engineering and expertise drives Isuzu to build their quality vehicles.
Isuzu, or Isuzu Motors Limited, is considered to be Japan’s oldest existing vehicle manufacturer. Though the company name of Isuzu Motors Ltd wasn’t used until 1949, the production and design of quality and high performance trucks started way back in 1916 through the joint partnership of Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Gas Industrial Co. In 1918, the company entered into a technical cooperation with Wolseley Motors U.K. to manufacture their first car, the Wolseley Model A-9. Two years later, they started manufacturing commercial trucks.
During the 90 years of operations of Isuzu, it marked many changes with company names and partnerships with numerous Japanese and international auto manufacturers and companies. The year 1933 saw the renaming of the company into Automobile Industries Co., Ltd. when it merged with Dot Automobile Manufacturing. It finally adopted the name Isuzu Motors Limited in 1949. And by 1953, it again ventured a technical partnership with Rootes to produce the Hillman Minx passenger car. They also inked an agreement with General Motors to produce the Gemini and eventually start its exports to the United States. The company started exporting cars in the United States in 1981 and ever since has produced a number of popular cars like the Rodeo, Axiom, Trooper and the current Ascender model.
Today, Isuzu is touted to be among the world’s largest manufacturer of medium duty trucks. It has assembly and manufacturing plants in the Japanese city of Fujisawa, as well as in the prefectures Tochigi and Hokkaido.
It is also famous for manufacturing commercial vehicles and diesel engines as it has produced millions of diesel engines already. It is a clear indication that Isuzu thrives more in performance, specifically for off-road applications. A performance vehicle like the Isuzu needs nothing but performance parts and accessories as well. From the tonneau cover to the cargo liner to the performance braking systems, Isuzu sees to it that the motorist is in good hands while savoring the great capabilities of an Isuzu. In order to maintain that performance and great functionality it has been offering through the years, Isuzu aftermarket parts and accessories are readily available online and offline to auto parts stores everywhere, anytime.
To have that unique Isuzu driving experience, only Isuzu parts and accessories are the ways to go. After all, performance in its class and reliability are the qualities Isuzu has been known for.
