Momo Corse - More Than Just A Name
It all began with a story about a legend, a legend born out of sheer destiny and the creative ingenuity of a person with a passion for cars. The year 1964 witnessed a historical event, when a steering wheel designed by Gianpiero Moretti inched Ferrari specialist John Surtees towards the F1 World Championship. The mounting of the uniquely smaller and different steering wheel and the consequential bagging of the 1964 F1 World Championship by John Surtees gave birth to the leading name in car accessories that we know today as Momo Corse.

But, the creative edge of Moretti wasn’t a solo affair, as the amateur car racer had got a friend to make a special steering wheel for himself during his racing days. The wheel was smaller than usual with a large handgrip that offered better handling, thus invoking a spark of creativity in him to explore further ground. The later years witnessed the creation of the car accessories company Momo Corse, which started off making steering wheels in large varieties for racing cars.

The maker of steering wheels soon went ahead and delved into the manufacturing of other products, as it also rechristened itself from Momo Corse to simply Momo. It soon began constructing various car accessories like road wheels, gear shift knobs, handbrakes, seats, harnesses, pedals, car mats, racing clothes, helmets and even ear pieces. The Italian giant became a household name by the 90s and had quite a following across the world.

Today, Momo Corse or MOMO Italy, as it is simply known, has its market concentration in over 10 countries worldwide, and a great number of its car accessories users that show a steep rise everyday.
